July 17 - 20 I'll be in Ann Arbor for the art fair - you'll find me at King's Courtyard off Liberty Street between 5th and Division. More good info here!
Happy news! I finally got around to making some smaller versions of the big owl I made for my friends baby.........and here is one that's done and available in the shop. More to come! :)
I've finished my second granny square blanket, and this time it's available in the shop! This one took about 60 hours to finish........now on to the next project.......well, maybe a little break to enjoy being caught up on orders for the moment would be nice. :)
I caught this documentary the other night on PBS.... and can't stop thinking about it. If you haven't heard of Wayne White before....you are in for a treat. I think the neighbors heard me laughing. What an inspiration. Have you seen it?
Phew....we made it! The last few weeks have been incredible....insanely busy, but incredible. Some snapshots from the Detroit Urban Craft Fair on Dec 1st + 2nd by Anne from Indie Lovely. We met so many amazing people (we heard there were roughly 2,200 shoppers on the first day alone!). Thank you to everyone who stopped by and made our show amazing. I had an absolute blast, and can't wait for next year!
EXCITING NEWS! I am going to be at the Detroit Urban Craft Fair this year - December 1 + 2 at the Masonic Temple. It's a juried show - with 100 vendors this year! Be sure to stop by and do some holiday shopping!!
I made this for my dear friend who is expecting her first baby this January. She loves owls, and I knew I wanted to make the baby something big...I started it back in June, and only finished it the other week (just in time for the baby shower!) In the end it measured 24"Tall. Elsie the Owl.
So many things to do these days.....I've got some cool things to update you with, but while I'm trying to play catch up have a listen to Chairlift. Saw this cute duo from NY the other night in concert. Hope you enjoy :)
Heyyy! Simpli Jessi is going to be at the Traverse City Makers Market - September 22nd!!!!! More details here! Time is ticking, so I'll be busy these next few weeks. :-)
Yes, a little different than my usual post, but I am excited to share with you a collaboration I just finished with Ken Turner - illustrator and author of Henry The Heart Boy, you can see more of his work here. And for all of you artists out there looking for something fun - he's hosting a very cool art contest, be sure to check it out here! Good Luck!
